Peace: What it Means to Me

Peace. A simple word, yet so many meanings. Hi I’m Tr, and I’m here to tell you what peace means to me. I have peaceful ideas, places, and things that make me feel peaceful. Like peaceful things.
Everybody has an idea of peace. An idea of quiet or relaxation. Me? I have three simple ideas that can make me feel peaceful. Why just thinking of them is relaxing.
One of many peaceful ideas is wishing on a star. Aaah, how exciting and peaceful it is to look at a star, wish on it, and hope for it to come true. You look around, and it is quiet around you. Yet you know something exciting just happened. I have tried it, and although your wish may not come true, it was all worth looking at the glimmering stars in the night sky.
In addition to that idea, I also think falling leaves are peaceful. How relaxing it is when you look at falling leaves drifting slowly towards the ground. With so much grace as it falls, yet amidst all that grace, it is waving wildly, its goal ever closer to the ground. Thinking about them is just so overwhelming. But, I promise I won’t explode.
Finally, the best for last. Tip toe, Tip toe. It is Christmas morning. You wake up earlier than everybody else. It’s quiet all around you. Yet, you know that there is still much excitement arousing in the air. You just might burst, having to wait for all the fun and excitement for so long, despite the snoring you hear. The presents are nestled under the tree, waiting for the people to tear them apart. The moment of quiet lingers on. At last, your family wakes up. Your Christmas day has truly begun.
Some things can make you all tingly. Some can make you just lie down and relax. People have many things that do. Although these things work just for me.
To begin with, it melts into your tongue and it’s sweet. You take a bite and you feel like you’re in heaven. All of a sudden you’re melting in a sweet, creamy haven. Guess. Yep, you’re right, it’s chocolate! Isn’t it just so nice, sweet, and creamy? Yet , that taste won’t last long. But after eating it after a stressful day, you should feel all better!
Music is a soothing thing that can soothe down the most arrogant person. Especially classical music. It is lulling and sometimes slow. It can speak when all your words cannot express what you’re saying. As people say, “ Music can soothe even the savage beast.”
The final peaceful thing is the ocean. Looking at the ocean, you see the sunset, and you can hear the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks, curling back in. The seagulls fly into the air, swooping down, returning up with food in their beaks. The sand is soft and warm beneath your feet, yet with a cold and icy touch from the ocean. The ocean, itself, is a sandy heaven.
At last, you now see why these peaceful things work just for me.
But peaceful things and ideas aren’t just all that are peaceful to me. I also have peaceful places.
Some people, like grownups, have a different way of a relaxing place, like for instance, Hawaii. But if you just don’t have the time to go to Hawaii, then here are other peaceful places where you can just take off to relax. Trust me, you won’t regret this.
Taking a walk out in Mother Nature is just one of the places where you can take off to. Whether its laying on the grass, or just smelling the flowers, it’s a natural paradise. So take a walk to an adventure right next to you. You never know what you can find.
Another just as exciting place is Yellowstone National Park. The animals there are healthy, the plants are lustrous and green, the area is spacious, and sometimes you might see animals that aren’t usually there near you. So, if you want a fabulous but nearby vacation near you, drive to Yellowstone National Park.
Last, but not least, is Santa Clara Library. The halls there are quiet, and the books are organized very neatly. When you read a good book, you fly into another world, right? Well at Santa Clara Library, people won’t disturb you and the people there are friendly, encouraging you to learn and read books to discover the world around you. That is Santa Clara Library.
To top it all off, you don’t have to plan a trip to Hawaii! Just go to where you wan to be, and the peace and relaxation will come.
You see, peace can mean many things. But for me, it is felling to be where you want to be, and knowing what you do is important. Peace is being you and helping others. Peace, itself is just happiness. Whether you’re helping a friend, or taking a walk. That is what peace means to me.
